My current friends in the fridge

I am currently entertaining:

- spanish aubergine (or eggplant)
- dutch spinach
- spanish tomatoes
- french apples
- belgian pears
- and bananas which have not got a country of origin, so may be England.

It never ceases to amaze me!

    I don't think you can grow bananas in England -- they're only happy if the climate is at least sub-tropical
